Duffzilla is made of 90% win, 10% cotton →
I followed Gabby’s link to Duffzilla’s deviant art gallery and was inspired by his beautiful artwork.
I especially love all the animal watercolor paintings. Many of them are available as prints and there are a variety of different styles of pictures, although all of them are beautiful in their minimalism and free flowing lines.
It makes me want to pick up a paintbrush again!

How to destroy the Earth →
Here’s a surprisingly interesting list on methods to destroy the earth, the probabilities of success, and more.

Frosted Finland and yummy foods
In Israel, it was +18 degrees. (Hotter in the south of course.)
In Finland, it is -18 degrees.
That’s a crazy 36 degrees temperature difference.
Not only is my nose freezing, but also my snot. Every time I step outside, it’s like a slap to the face.
Luckily, all my proper heavy-duty winter clothes are here, so the rest of me (besides exposed areas like my cheeks) survives...

At Ben Gurion Airport
Ohhhh… so tired. I wish they had the flight service they offer in the film “The 5th Element”, where you spend the whole flight asleep. I could use some of that now.
I’m so happy that this isn’t the flight where I have to spend 8 hours at the airport between two flights.
The security was so thorough that I am now confident that nothing I carry is explosive....

Time for travel
I’m going to go home for Christmas for about 10-11 days, depending on whether you count the days spent traveling as home or not!
There are no direct flights, so I spend anywhere between 8 to 14 hours traveling (excluding the train to the airport, and the two to three hours extra-early I have to check in due to the stringent security measures in Israel.)
I think it’s crazy to have to...

Christmas in Israel
The best thing about being in Israel in these weeks before Christmas is the complete and utter lack of the tacky, stressful feeling that Christmas brings on in most European countries.
They are not spamming the airwaves with annoying Christmas songs. The shops are not full of hideous color combinations of tinsel and epilepsy-inducing lights. And there is not the pressure to “SHOP SHOP...

Laputa
I just watched the Studio Ghibli movie, “Laputa”, from 1986. Forget what it may mean in Spanish - this has nothing to do with women who sell themselves for a living. This is a proper fairytale.
But it’s not your average fairytale. Sure, it has a princess, a prince, several castles, armies, magic spells, strange creatures, and so on, but it also has something very special...

Sergio Membrillas:ilustrador/illustrator →
This is the quirky and stylish gallery of the freelance illustrator, Sergio Membrillas.
His artwork has me so spellbound that I don’t quite know what to say about it, other than go visit it now!
Also, check out the very cool cd design here. I love the little details, like the wonky piano keys and the monster hiding behind the cd.
