Les illustrations de lapin breaks the rules! It seems Lapin likes to draw on paper with grids, lines, pre-existing text, and everything your art teacher told you not to draw on in school. The result is some very detailed but “loose” drawings in ink and watercolors. Subjects vary from architectural drawings to skeletons, Messerschmitts, figure drawings, and all kinds of interesting things.
Trying to choose my favorite picture to lure you in is impossible. I think part of what makes the site so great is the huge variety of illustrations back to back.

Eyal alerted me to this zombie awesomeness. If zombies were that cute, I don’t think I’d support their extermination quite so much.

Three-legged kitty!
The cat we’ve been taking care of is now limping in a very pronounced way. He still manages to make it up three flights of stairs, but walks on three legs and is very careful where he places the fourth paw. Today, Eyal bought him a kitty-litter box and a cat-carrier box. I was convinced the cat would instantly understand the concept of the litter box, and it was with high hopes we watched him scratching in the box and sniffing it. Finally, found a corner, scratched, squatted …. and lay down. LAY DOWN? I didn’t have time to be disappointed for long, because soon he stood up again and tested it for another purpose. Hooray! Gah. I suppose this is something close to what parents feel when they succeed at potty training. Tomorrow he’s being carried off to the vet, and I expect he’ll stop considering the carrier-box as his favorite new resting place.
Cthulhu introduced in the form of a childrens’ cartoon. It’s awesome… and slightly scary how much imaginative the whole Lovecraftian lore is than the average childrens’ cartoon.
Whether you know Cthulhu or not, this is a great video.
